The Community Synagogue Theater Company will present the musical comedy, “The Addams Family” on April 4 – 7 at the Landmark Theater on Main Street in Port Washington. Performances will be held Thursday and Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The world of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Wednesday, Pugsley, Grandma and Lurch come to life in this new story, based on characters created by cartoonist Charles Addams and featured in a TV show and movies.  In the musical, the Addams family is put to the test when daughter Wednesday falls in love with a normal boy, who brings his normal family, the Beinekes, to a dinner at the Addams’ home that will change their lives forever.

Directed by Tom Rocco with musical direction by Bryson Baumgartel and choreography by Maggie Golder, TCSTC boasts a cast and crew that spans from Manhattan to Huntington. Several of the cast members are local to Port Washington including Spencer Cohen as Lurch, Jill Eisenberg as Morticia, Jeff Grossman as Mal Beineke, Caryn Ronis as Grandma, Joel Ronis as Uncle Fester, Holly Simon as Pugsley and Schreiber High School student, Eden Franco, in the role of Wednesday.  The ancestors include the Chernosky and Zlotoff families.  And we cannot forget the one that makes it all happen, the incredible stage manager Jane Ronis.
