The 29th Annual Long Island Festival of Trees

Friday, Nov. 23 through Sunday, Nov. 25, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Known for its spectacular array of designer-decorated trees and gingerbread village, this event features continuous live entertainment, Santa, a vendor marketplace, children’s activities and more. Tickets are $15 for adults ($10 LICM members) and $10 for children ages 2 to 12 ($6 LICM members).

Holiday Kids Workshop: Gingerbread Man Ornament

An 1863 Thanksgiving

Bring the whole family to experience an old-fashioned Thanksgiving celebration at this living history museum that provides visitors with the unique opportunity to step back in time and experience life as it was on Long Island during the 19th century.

New Story Time: “Mickey Mouse Goes Christmas Shopping”

Kids Theatre: “Who Took Tom the Turkey?”

Saturday, Nov. 24, 2 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 25, 11:30 a.m.

Tom the Turkey is missing and everyone is a suspect: Paula Pilgrim, Chief Clumsy Bull, Peter Pumpkin and Maise Potato.  They must all work together to solve the mystery before the last Thursday of November or else the Great Autumn Feast will not occur. All tickets are $13.

Special Performance of “The Nutcracker”

Saturday, Nov. 24, 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 25, 2 p.m.

Presented by the Long Island Ballet Theatre, this production is suitable for children as young as 3 years old. Children ages 3 to 10 years may join the cast on stage for an on-stage reception at the Kingdom of the Sweets for a $10 donation.
