Family Theatre Musical: ‘The Lion King Jr.’

Friday, April 19 through Sunday, April 28 (every day except Easter Sunday, April 21), 11 a.m.

The African savannah comes to life with Simba, Rafiki, and an unforgettable cast of characters as they journey from Pride Rock to the jungle and back again.  This production is performed by the talented students in Plaza Theatrical’s Performing Arts Academy. Reserved seating tickets are $12.

Barnyard Egg Hunt

Saturday, April 20, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Little ones should bring their baskets to the farm where they will meet Whiskers the Bunny, try their luck at egg tossing and egg rolling games, visit the farm animals, and take a hayride. Food vendors will be on the farm all day selling treats. Advance tickets only: $10 for all ages.

Stars on Ice

April Break Family Make & Take Activities

Monday, April 22 through Friday, April 26, 12 to 4 p.m.

Children with chaperones can create their own puzzles of the lunar and command modules that went to the moon, make a star wheel to help locate the constellations in the night sky, trace the stars and see what stargazers saw centuries ago, and put together a book of Latin American constellations.

Spring Break for Art

Tuesday, April 23 through Thursday, April 25, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Families can participate in three days of art making inspired by the art on view in the museum’s current exhibition, That ‘80s Show.  A different project will be featured each day.
