Decoration Day Tribute

Saturday, May 26 and Sunday, May 27, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A remembrance for those who died for our nation, the event will include historic craft demonstrations, brass band concerts, a ceremony, and a parade at 2:15 p.m. Adults: $12; children 5 to 12: $8; seniors, volunteer firefighters and persons with disabilities: $8; children 4 and under and active military are free.

Goldilocks: Is That You? 

Saturday, May 26 at 11 a.m. (performances also on June 2 and 9)

This is a delightful retelling of the famous story as Goldilocks, a conscientious scout, encounters the three nicest showbiz bears you’d ever hope to meet and helps them foil the villainous plans of Billy de Goat Gruff. Don’t miss this hysterical musical melodrama about safety. All tickets: $10.

Think Up! Old Westbury Whodunits

Saturday, May 26, 12 to 1 p.m. 

Children of all ages can investigate the wonders of nature and history’s mysteries. Fact finding hunts through Westbury House and gardens uncover clues and solve riddles with this self-guided scavenger hunt. The event is free with museum admission.

Children’s Workshop: Precious Poppies

Saturday, May 26, 2 to 4 p.m.

Did you know that the Friday before Memorial Day is National Poppy Day? The poppy is a symbol of remembrance and is commonly worn on Memorial Day to honor soldiers’ brave sacrifice for our freedom. Children ages 3 and up can pay tribute this weekend and create their own red poppy flower with tissue paper and craft materials. The event is free with museum admission.

Memorial Day Fireworks
