Summer Garden Stones

Friday, June 8, Tuesday, June 12, and Wednesday, June 13 at 2:30 p.m. (ongoing through June 22)

Children ages 3 and up can decorate their own colorful garden stone to celebrate the arrival of summer.  This is a free drop-in program. Stop by anytime between 2:30 and 4 p.m. The craft takes approximately ten minutes to complete.

Eat up! What’s Cookin’ in the Gardens: Roses

Saturday, June 9 at 11 a.m.

Kids of all ages can discover tasty delights growing in these beautiful garden beds.  They will concoct and sample a simple recipe full of delicious seasonal flavors. Free with admission.

Mermaids, Myths & Sea Monsters

Saturday, June 9, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Children of all ages can celebrate the world of marvelous mythic creatures living beneath the waves. They will find out how the stories of mermaids, sea monsters, and even unicorns began, and create an assortment of mermaid and sea monster crafts. $12 for child; $5 for adults.

44th Annual L.I. Bavarian Festival 

Saturday, June 9 at 2 p.m. and Sunday, June 10 at 12 p.m.

Enjoy Oktoberfest in the spring at this annual event that offers fun for the whole family, including live music, German food and beer, and games and amusement rides for kids. Adults $10; seniors $9; children 12 and under are free.
