Free Summer Concert Series at Roosevelt Field Mall 

Wednesday, July 11 and 18, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Roosevelt Field Mall is hosting its first ever concert series that will feature David Clark’s Songs in the Attic: A Tribute to Billy Joel on July 11, and Desert Highway: A Tribute to the Eagles on July 18.  The party starts at Havana Central, which has teamed up with Bacardi and K98 to host fun activities and raffles before the concerts start at 7 p.m.

‘90s Rockers at Jones Beach

Thursday, July 12 at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 14 at 8 p.m., Tuesday, July 17 at 8 p.m., and Wednesday, July 18 at 7:30 p.m.

The music sounds of the ‘90s will be on deck this week with Gov’t Mule (with The Avett Brothers and Magpie Salute) on the 12th, the Foo Fighters on the 14th, the Dave Matthews Band on the 17th, and Weezer (with the Pixies) bringing a little “Island in the Sun” to Jones Beach on the 18th.

4 Retro Futura: America’s Premiere ‘80s Concert Tour

Friday, July 13 at 7 p.m.

If 1980s’ music is more your thing, this concert starring Belinda Carlisle of the Go-Gos, ABC, Modern English, Tony Lewis from The Outfield, Kajagoogoo’s Limahl and Bow Wow Wow’s Annabella is the place to be, as they all take the stage for one night.

5 My Father’s Place Returns

Friday, July 13, Saturday, July 14 and Thursday, July 19 at 8 p.m.

Another rock-and-roll blast from the past, My Father’s Place was the nurturing ground for aspiring musicians like The Ramones, Blondie, The Police and many others from 1971 to 1987.  The historic music venue reopened earlier this month with sold-out shows and will feature more top talent this summer, including blues legend John Hammond on the 13th, rock musicians Garland Jeffreys and Frank Carillo on the 14th, and the four-piece Long Island band Vista Hill, described as the Barenaked Ladies meets the Beatles, on the 19th.

6 YES: Celebrating 50 Years

Wednesday, July 18 at 8 p.m.

The iconic and influential rock band Yes celebrates 50 years at this special concert that will showcase music from their recent albums, “YES: The Steven Wilson Remixes,” featuring “The YES Album” (1971), “Fragile” (1971), “Close to the Edge” (1972), “Tales from Topographic Oceans” (1973), and “Relayer” (1974), as well as “Fly from Here — Return Trip,” a new version of their 2011 album “Fly from Here” featuring the “Drama” lineup that has been long-awaited by Yes fans.
