2 I’m With Her with guests The Brother Brothers

Friday, Nov. 9 at 8 p.m.

The trio called I’m With Her is comprised of multi-Grammy Award winners Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan. The New York Times said their indelible harmonies “could be sweetly ethereal, or as tightly in tandem as country sibling teams like the Everly Brothers, or as hearty as mountain gospel.”

3 In Dreams: Roy Orbison in Concert

Saturday, Nov. 10 at 8 p.m.

Peter Frampton’s son, Julian Frampton, is supporting Roy Orbison’s nationwide hologram tour, In Dreams — Live In Concert, in which the rock icon is recreated through holographic laser imaging as he performs his greatest hits, including “Only the Lonely,” “Crying,” “Pretty Woman” and “You Got It,” with a live orchestra.

Willie Nile & James Maddock

This pairing of roots rock singer-songwriters includes Willie Nile, who has toured across the country with The Who and has sung with Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band, and James Maddock, the “songwriter’s songwriter” who has garnered acclaim from musical peers and media outlets like NPR.

5 Hofstra Great Writers, Great Readings presents Daniel Mendelsohn

Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 6:30 p.m.

A best-selling author, award-winning critic and essayist, and columnist for Harper’s, Mendelsohn will discuss his career in journalism.  His most recent book is the collection, “Waiting for the Barbarians: Essays from the Classics to Pop Culture” (2012), a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award in Criticism. 6 An Evening with Stephen Marley Acoustic

Murder Mystery: “Towards Zero” by Agatha Christie

Thursday, Nov. 15 through Saturday, Nov. 17, 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.
