State Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso (D-Port Washington) met with the Port Washington School Legislative Task force and state Sen. Elaine Phillips (R-Flower Hill) in his district office.

The task force members are concerned residents, community leaders and school board members who advocate for changes in the state laws and also to save money for our schools and taxpayers.

The task force came to D’Urso’s district office to discuss the need for additional funding for the Port Washington schools. The schools are increasingly more diverse and there is a greater need for more types of programming for the students.

“I am grateful to have had this opportunity to meet with the members of the Task Force so we could work together to benefit the students in the Port Washington Schools,” D’Urso said.
