Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso met with the Great Neck Superintendent of Schools Dr. Teresa Prendergast to discuss numerous issues, including the 2018-2019 New York State budget, funding for mental health services and security initiatives, school grant opportunities, creating a Teachers’ Retirement System reserve and the heroin and opioid addiction crises.

D’Urso is a co-sponsor of Assembly Bill number A07353B which would allow certain school districts and BOCES to establish a retirement contribution reserve fund for the purposes of the NYS Teachers’ Retirement System.
