State Assemblyman Anthony D’Urso participated in a conversation held at the Port Washington Library organized by Residents Forward Executive Director Mindy Germain. The attendees included representatives from local water departments, New York City Department of Environmental Protection, United States Geological Survey (USGS), local elected officials and others who are interested in protecting and maintaining our precious water supply. Some of the main topics discussed were the LI Groundwater Sustainability Study, establishing an advisory committee for the project, the Queens Wells and conservation efforts.

“As chairman of the Long Island Sound Task Force and a member of the NYS Assembly’s Environmental Conservation Committee protecting our groundwater is one of my top legislative priorities,” said Assemblyman D’Urso.
