The Village of East Hills is bringing back its popular Halloween Spooktacular next weekend.

The family-friendly Halloween event is scheduled from noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 14 at the Park at East Hills with a rain date set for Oct. 15.

Advance admission is $8 for children from East Hills and $10 for nonresident children, and prices increase the day of the event to $10 for residents and $12 for nonresidents.

Activities will be held on the theater lawn and include decorate-your-own pumpkins, carnival games and Halloween-themed bounce houses.

This year, a hay maze has been added to the attractions.

The Spooktacular pumpkin patch was donated by Best Market, the event’s gold sponsor this year, and the hayride, featuring trick-or-treating with live actors, was donated by Garden World.

The hayride takes children and their parents through the forest along a “spooky” trail, Mayor Michael Koblenz said, complete with cobwebs and ghosts.

During the event, Roslyn Middle School’s community service club will collect donations for victims of Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey. The club requested donations of one of the three d’s: diapers, dog food or dental products.

Entertainment this year will be provided by Echo Productions, and emcee Echo will throw an interactive DJ dance party. A barbecue lunch will be available for an additional fee.

Last year, Koblenz said approximately 1,000 people came out for the day, and a similar response is expected this year.

Other sponsors include North Shore Day Camp, Joyce Styne of Laffey International Real Estate and Abrams, Fensterman, Fensterman, Eisman, Formato, Ferrara, Wolf and Carone LLP.
