An Atlanta-based bridal company is stopping in Manhasset next weekend for an exclusive trunk show with wedding gowns not available anywhere else on Long Island.

“On Long Island, our dresses are available exclusively through the Wedding Salon of Manhasset,” Anne Barge President Shawne Jacobs said. “The owners, Nancy Aucone and Susan Finale, have done a beautiful job showcasing the designers they carry in their beautiful, spacious and upscale salon. And, their customer service is impeccable.”

Anne Barge was founded in 1999 and specializes in combining classic designs and modern trends. The company has designed custom styles for Laura Benanti, Taraji P. Henson and Eva Longoria.

Jacobs said she will be showing the entire fall 2017 collection as well as a number of dresses from the spring 2018 collection which have yet to be distributed to retailers nationwide. Dresses in sizes 4 through 18 will be available to try at the show at 1468 Northern Blvd. in Manhasset.

“At Anne Barge, we pride ourselves on creating classically elegant bridal gowns that meet the needs of discerning brides with different tastes in styles and silhouettes,” Jacobs said. “Each gown uses the finest fabrics, embellishments and embroidery sourced from around the world. What makes our classic gowns unique is the detailing on each dress and the meticulous emphasis on the fit of each dress.”

Jacobs said brides should try to order a gown at least eight months before the wedding date to ensure ample time in case of alterations. She said an Anne Barge dress takes four to five months to ship, and most brides will need a few fittings with an alteration specialist.

“[The Wedding Salon of Manhasset] also offers a beautifully curated selection of gorgeous gowns by designers you would normally have to go to New York City to see,” Jacobs said. “You don’t have the hassle of city parking and traffic, which is a great benefit when you have multiple bridal appointments or fittings because they offer in-house alterations. It’s nice to know if you fall in love with a gown during your try-on appointment and having fit issues, a seamstress can advise and assure you of your concerns.”
