A Farmingdale man fleeing Nassau County police crashed into a Roslyn veterinarian clinic after missing a turn, police said.

Wymann Wiggins, 28, of Farmingdale, was spotted at 12:20 a.m. Monday by a Nassau County highway patrol officer allegedly driving a white BMW on the Long Island Expressway near Exit 40 at a high rate of speed, and the officer attempted to stop the vehicle.

Police said Wiggins refused to pull over and continued driving, exiting the expressway at Exit 37 and turning right onto Mineola Avenue.

After Wiggins failed to complete a turn onto Wallbridge Lane, he crashed into the side of Roslyn Village Veterinarian at 1 Mineola Ave., causing significant damage to the building, police said.

Wiggins and a 29-year-old woman who was in the passenger seat were transported to an area hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries.

Wiggins is charged with second-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree fleeing a police officer and multiple vehicle and traffic violations. Police said he will be arraigned as soon as medically practical.
