A Great Neck man who allegedly raped and tortured a woman in his home earlier this year was indicted by a grand jury on Thursday, according to the Nassau County District Attorney’s office.

Yossef Kahlon, 55, and a woman whose name was not disclosed met at his home in Great Neck on Jan. 25. The two went inside the home when Kahlon asked her if she would agree to be bound, according to the indictment.

The woman agreed but told Kahlon that she did not desire to be hurt, according to the indictment. Kahlon ignored her request and began hitting and raping her, according to the indictment.

He also allegedly forced the woman to perform sexual acts without her consent, according to the release.

Kahlon was arrested on Thursday and arraigned before Judge Robert Bogle of the state’s 10th Judicial District, officials said. Kahlon was charged with first-degree criminal sexual act, first-degree rape, first-degree aggravated sexual abuse, and fourth-degree aggravated sexual abuse, according to officials.

If convicted, Kahlon faces a maximum of 25 years in prison.

Kahlon’s bail was set at $250,000 cash, a $500,000 bond, and $1 million partially secured bond. Kahlon reportedly surrendered his passports and was required to wear an electronic ankle monitor.

“This defendant allegedly brutalized a woman in his home and forced his victim to perform various sexual acts,” Acting District Attorney Joyce Smith said. “If you believe you have been a victim of Yossef Kahlon, we urge you to call the Special Victims Bureau at (516) 571-1266 and report the incident.”
