Two teenagers are in custody of the Nassau County Police Department’s 6th Precinct after a drug deal gone wrong resulted in a third teenager being slashed with a knife at the Manhasset Long Island Rail Road station on Friday afternoon.

According to detectives, “during an attempt to purchase drugs from two juvenile subjects, ages 16 and 17, the victim, also 17, was assaulted by the 16-year-old with a knife, causing him to suffer severe lacerations to both of his hands.”

The detectives say that the duo then took $30 from the victim and left the scene, but were caught a short time later and placed under arrest.

Social media photos from an account calling itself @roslynheightsny show droplets of blood on the inside of the station. Police say the victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.

Both juveniles are charged with assault in the first degree and robbery in the first degree. They were scheduled to appear Saturday in family court in Westbury.
