Manhasset Al Fresco N. Plandome Road - Sep 12

The last Manhasset Al Fresco will take place this upcoming Sunday, October 10 beginning at 3:30 p.m. and ending at 9:30 p.m on North Plandome Road. Road closure will be between Hillside Avenue and Colonial Parkway, creating a pedestrian-only zone.

The Manhasset Chamber of Commerce’s mission is to enhance the economic vitality and quality of life of our community and to promote the general welfare and prosperity of its member businesses. The chamber encourages everyone to come support our community and local businesses by enjoying outdoor dining and live entertainment on Plandome Road.

The past Manhasset Al Fresco events have been a huge success. The purpose of the events was to “lift up local,” the Town of North Hempstead’s initiative to support local businesses in recovery efforts following the coronavirus.

The Chamber has partnered with Gold Coast Film Festival to host an outdoor screening of the movie Casper at 6:45 p.m. Make sure to bring your own chairs! Manhasset Cinema will be selling refreshments during the film. In addition, Philly Pretzels of NHP will be at the event selling pretzels and lemonade and will be donating partial proceeds to fundraise for Manhasset Chamber’s Beautification.

Participating restaurants include Publicans, with their Oktoberfest-themed menu, Greens Irish Pub, Louies of Manhasset, Pita Station and Gino’s! Outdoor reservations are always recommended. DJ Rad will kickoff the event, along with live music by Dave Diamond Band at 4:15 until 6:45 p.m. Smoking Rockets will end the night immediately after the movie screening at 8:30 p.m.

The Rock Climbing wall was such a huge success at the last event, Kelly’s Kitchen is bringing it back! The Science Museum of Long Island is returning with science demonstrations and a surprise animal.

Free for all to enjoy and thanks to the Chamber, a mobile Escape Room is coming to Manhasset Al Fresco and will be available from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Visit the Chambers table for Chalk the Town, kids crafts, giveaways, Manhasset Al Fresco apparel and donations for Manhasset Beautification.

The chamber has always been at the forefront of beautifying Manhasset. The Manhasset Chamber of Commerce wants to welcome all who live, visit and work here. Donations are sought annually to transform Plandome Road with flowers in all its splendor.

Starting with flowers in the spring and continuing with flowering baskets and planters under the Adopt-A-Pole/Planter campaign for the summer. In autumn, cornstalks adorn Plandome Road representing the harvest season continuing with greens and red bows adorning the poles for the holiday season. Beautification is a key aspect of community development and the Chamber strongly believes a pleasant community appearance adds to home values, helps attract business investments and improves the neighborhood reputation.

The Manhasset Chamber of Commerce would like to thank the Town of North Hempstead and the Highway Department for their continued help and support, they have played such a vital role in helping make Manhasset Al Fresco a huge success for our community!

Lastly, a special thank you to the program’s event sponsors Americana Manhasset, Manhasset Dental, Herb & Olive Marketa, Adelina Salon Boutique, Daniel Dale Sotheby’s, International Realty, Traci Conway Clinton Team of Compass, AKT Manhasset, and Gift of Life International. Its supporting sponsors ProMet Physical Therapy, Greens Irish Pub, Mosquito Hunters of Northern Nassau, Buttercooky Bakery, Julia Day Spa, Pluckd Studio, John Paterno Inc, Home Run Electric, Moves and Motions School of Dance/Enchanted Parties, Manhasset Cinemas, Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
