From flan and sushi to jerk chicken and samosas, Thanksgiving at Blue Ocean Wealth Strategies is a multicultural celebration. Blue Ocean Wealth Strategies hosted its annual MultiCultural Thanksgiving Luncheon, now in it’s 13th year, to celebrate and give thanks with its diverse “work family” this past Thursday.
Participants were asked to bring in dishes from their home countries that represent the firm’s varied ethnic backgrounds. Food brought gave a nod to places around the globe like Puerto Rico, Portugal, Greece, Egypt, Korea, China, India, Pakistan, Jamaica, Bangladesh, Haiti, Philippines, Dominican Republic, Ireland, Albania and more.
More than 200 people attended the event and more than 100 international dishes were made to share. Leftover food was then donated to MOMMAS House to help those less fortunate.
