Southampton Video Game Tournament

This upcoming tournament will be held by the Southampton Youth Bureau and Hampton Bays Library Teen Center. Among the games included in the tournament are Rocket League, Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Mortal Kombat XI, Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and Mario Kart 8. Pre-registration for the tournament is due the day prior to the event. Those who do pre-register will automatically be entered into a raffle giveaway. The tournament, intended for kids between fifth and 12th grade, will have brackets divided between middle school and high school students. Each bracket winners will receive a gift card as the grand prize. A permission slip signed by a parent or guardian is required for those who wish to play M-rated games. Pre-registration is $5, while registering at the door on the day of the event is $10.

The Bayway Arts Center will be holding a play based on the popular Disney animated movie. The play will feature a high-spirited score and bring to life the lovable dogs and the evil Cruella De Vil. Advance tickets are on sale for $11 and are available until two hours prior to showtime. Once that window closes, normal tickets may be purchased for $13.

Combination Creatures for Kids

Kids will take turns drawing parts of a creature’s body on large-format folded paper. Once everyone has contributed, the paper will be unfolded and reveal how the creature looks. The children working on their sections can use paint, markers and/or collages for their art. Kids will get to take home the sections they worked on at the end of the event. This event is targeted for kids between the ages of four and 13. Registration is $20 for the public.

Kids Purim Party

The Jewish Center of East Hampton will be holding a party in celebration of Purim at the Clubhouse bowling alley. Kids are encouraged to come dressed up in a costume, as there will be prizes awarded to the best costumed kids. Brunch will be served at the party and kids will have the opportunity to go bowling. The event is free for students from Gates of Jewish Learning and members of the Jewish Center of the Hamptons. Others would need to pay $10 for admission. Parents or guardians are required to attend.

Nassau Coliseum takes the audience on a trip to Isla Nubar for an adventure. After the Indominus Rex escapes and begins creating havoc around the park, the attendees must work with a team of scientists to stop a corrupt plan and save a new dinosaur, nicknamed “Jeanie.” All along the way, see some of the amazing dinosaurs on the “island.” Ticket prices range from $15 to $250.
