Garden City Park School fourth graders in Grace Yang’s class recently created Google sites on influential Hispanic figures in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month.
Students collaborated in pairs and utilized multiple Google platforms, including Google Slides, to draft and revise their research and to create their websites. They also used Padlet, a web app that lets users post notes on a digital wall, for research. On Oct. 21, they presented their Google sites to their families and other Garden City Park staff through a virtual Google Meet.
“Our presentation went well!” Ms. Yang said. “The students were so proud of themselves, and the technology teachers said our class was the first class in our district to use Google sites!”
