A physical altercation Wednesday evening at a Greenvale restaurant allegedly ended with one of the combatants striking a police officer in the face, the Nassau County Police Department’s Sixth Squad reported.

According to detectives, they received a call about a physical altercation at the Barefoot Peddler in Greenvale, and upon arrival found Selvin Guillen Ulloa, 19, of Glen Cove; Marlon Miguel Guillen, 42, of Locust Valley; and Marlon Miguel Guillen Jr., 20, of Glen Cove engaged in an altercation, with the latter allegedly throwing a glass prior to police arrival.

Once police arrived, the combatants allegedly refused verbal commands to disperse and during the altercation a female officer was struck in the face with a closed fist by Ulloa. She suffered from substantial pain and swelling and was treated at a local hospital for her injury. The men were arrested around 9:22 p.m. that night.

Police did not say whether the fight took place inside or outside the restaurant. Blank Slate Media has reached out to the Barefoot Peddler for comment.

Ulloa has been charged with assault in the second degree, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The senior Guillen has been charged with obstructing governmental administration in the second degree and disorderly conduct, while Guillen Jr. has been charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

The three were arraigned in Mineola on Thursday, and all are represented by John Maccarone of Glen Cove. Ulloa is scheduled to return to court on April 26, Guillen Jr. is to return on May 11, while the senior Guillen is scheduled to return on May 12.
