Programs currently airing on Great Neck Public Schools Television (GNPS/TV) are: South High Cultural Heritage Night, Focus on Education, Student Filmmakers Showcase, and Faculty Recital 2017.

Programs can also be viewed in the incorporated villages of Great Neck on Cablevision Channel 75 and on Verizon Channel 32. Airing times in program descriptions below are for Cablevision and Verizon viewing.

South High Cultural Heritage Night

South High Cultural Heritage Night features songs, dances, and performances that celebrate the cultural diversity of the school. Performances include: Chinese Lion Dance, Indian Techno, Korean Techno, Martial Arts, Chinese Yo-Yo, Korean Drums, Chinese Ribbon Dance, presentations by the African American Culture Club, American Sign Language Club, Hebrew Culture Club, and more.

South High Cultural Heritage Night airs at 8:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Focus on Education

Focus on Education is an ongoing series hosted by Superintendent Dr. Teresa Prendergast, highlighting what’s new and interesting in the district. This episode features an interview with Daniel Holtzman, the new principal at John L. Miller Great Neck North High School.

Focus on Education airs at 10:00 a.m., 3:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Student Filmmakers Showcase

Student Filmmakers Showcase highlights a variety of short films produced, edited, and directed by middle and high school students. Many of the films originate from media classes around the district. The program is hosted by Robert Zahn, director of educational television and broadcast media.

Student Filmmakers Showcase airing times are: 10:30 a.m., and 3:30 and 8:30 p.m.

Faculty Recital 2017

The Faculty Recital 2017 features music performances by the staff of Great Neck Public Schools. Faculty members perform vocal and instrumental pieces as soloists or in groups. Performances include a variety of classical pieces, as well as selections from Broadway, opera, and classic rock genres.

Faculty Recital 2017 view times are: 11:00 a.m., 4:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

GNPS/TV Programming

GNPS/TV programming reflects the offerings of the Great Neck Public Schools and the achievements of its students and staff. Programs are student-produced.
