GNPS/TV showcasing middle school graduations, student-run play

Current programs on Great Neck Public Schools Television, also known as GNPS/TV, are the June 2018 graduation ceremonies for North Middle School and South Middle School, as well as the South High School Opera.

These GNPS/TV programs are available on demand, 24/7, on the school district website at greatneck.k12.ny.us/tv. Programs can also be viewed in the incorporated villages of Great Neck on Cablevision Channel 75 and on Verizon Channel 32.

Program highlights follow. Show times given are for Cablevision and Verizon viewing.

Middle School Graduations

Tune in to view the June 2018 graduation ceremonies for North Middle School and South Middle School, which are broadcast in their entirety. Additionally, each program includes a brief segment highlighting the opening day of the 2018–19 school year at the middle schools.

The North Middle School graduation airs at 8 a.m., 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.

The South Middle School graduation airs at 12:30 p.m., 6 p.m., and 11:30 p.m.

South High Opera

Each spring, South High School’s performing arts department proudly presents a full-scale student-performed opera. Now airing on GNPS/TV is the April 2018 performance of “The Tales of Hoffmann.” This opera was under the musical direction of Dr. Janine Robinson, conducted by Michael Schwartz, and directed by Robert Stivanello.

“The Tales of Hoffmann” airs at 10 a.m., 3:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

GNPS/TV Programming

GNPS/TV programming reflects the offerings of the Great Neck Public Schools and the achievements of its students and staff. Programs are student-produced.
