The Great Neck Public Schools Adult Learning Center is offering a variety of summer classes during the day and evening for adults seeking to boost their English-language skills or earn a high school equivalency diploma.

Eligible participants include individuals 18 years of age or older, who do not have a U.S. high school diploma or equivalent and those with diplomas or degrees outside the United States.

Interested participants can register for summer classes at the Adult Learning Center, 105 Clover Drive on Wednesday, May 30, or Thursday, May 31, from 9 a.m.– 12 p.m., or from 6:30–9:30 p.m. Registration must be done in-person. Please allow two hours to complete the registration process.

A full-range of English-language classes will be offered, from beginning literacy to advanced ENL – or English as a New Language. In preparation for the TASC, or Test Assessing Secondary Completion examination, classes will also be available to improve math, reading, science, social studies, and writing.

The non-refundable processing fee for summer only is $50 for those who live or work in Great Neck (proof of residency or employment is required), and $65 for non-residents. Payment, at time of registration, can be made by cash, credit card, check, or money order payable to Great Neck Public Schools.
