A Great Neck man was arrested for allegedly exposing himself to an 11-year-old while she was walking home, police said.

According to police, Jefferson Ramirez, 26, of Steamboat Road, approached the girl after unzipping his pants and exposing himself to her around 4 p.m. The victim, who had been walking home from school, then ran to a neighbor’s house, police said, where 911 was called.

Police said they found Ramirez a “short distance away,” where he was identified and taken into custody.

Ramirez was charged with public lewdness in the first degree and endangering the welfare of a child, both misdemeanors. His arraignment was set for Feb. 7 at First District Court in Hempstead but adjourned to Feb. 8. No defense attorney is listed for Ramirez.
