A Great Neck man and a New Hyde Park man accused of selling drugs over the internet were arrested Sunday, Nassau County police said.
Authorities found a large stock of drugs including cocaine, ecstasy and marijuana that Dean J. Moran of Great Neck and Nicholas Chapman of New Hyde Park were allegedly selling, police said.
Moran, 29, and Chapman, 27, were arrested in Franklin Square after an investigation by the Long Island Heroin Task Force, a collaborative drug enforcement effort by Nassau and Suffolk counties, police said.
The pair’s wares included 16.5 grams of cocaine, 13 grams of ecstasy, 2.5 ounces of marijuana, 73 tabs of LSD, 71 pills of the opioid painkiller oxycodone, and liquid THC, the psychoactive chemical in marijuana, police said.
A police spokesman said the drugs were recovered in Franklin Square, but he did not know what kind of facility they were recovered from.
Moran was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and one count of the same crime in the fourth degree.
Chapman faces only charge of attempted petit larceny. The police spokesman said he did not know why the charges were so disparate.
Both men were arraigned Monday at First District Court in Hempstead. Moran’s bail was set at $200,000 bond or $100,000 cash. Chapman’s bail was set at $1,000 bond or $500 cash.
Both men are due back in court Wednesday. It is not clear whether either has an attorney.
