Registered nurse Patricia Connelly was named as AgeWell New York’s new executive director on July 23.

“Patricia has been a key part of growing AgeWell New York’s membership and has always portrayed exemplary leadership qualities. We are thrilled to have her expertise guide us in the company’s future growth,” Michael N. Rosenblut, chairman of the board of managers for AgeWell New York, said.

Connelly has been a registered nurse for over 25 years. She has been with AgeWell New York since its inception in 2012 and has been responsible for leading the successful growth of the Managed Long Term Care Program (MLTC).

This plan helps those suffering from chronic illness and those who are disabled and in need of health and long term care services. It focuses on care management and supporting members’ access to benefits.

AgeWell New York, whose Long Island office is in Lake Success, is a managed care plan that offers Medicare Advantage prescription drug plans and managed long-term care plans. The plan serves the New York metropolitan area, including Westchester, the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, and Nassau and Suffolk counties.

Other key employee promotions include registered nurse Joyce Little being named associate executive director along with Justin Walter as assistant executive director.

Little leads the care management team to provide a care plan across multiple care settings to ensure members have full access to high-quality health care, and to make the health delivery system as efficient as possible. Walter is responsible for leading daily operations and technology services to bring aggressive practice strategies to optimize health care coverage.
