A Queens man was arrested for a burglary that occurred in Great Neck on Thursday after a confrontation left the victim bitten and with a knee injury, Nassau County police said.

According to police, the victim saw Farbod Hoorizadeh, 27, of Little Neck, trying to enter his Arbor Street home. This led to a confrontation at the front door and a “brief struggle,” police said, with Hoorizadeh attempting to flee.

But when Hoorizadeh attempted to leave, police said, the victim tried to pull Hoorizadeh out from the car – only to be bitten near the wrist, hit by the car door and briefly dragged, which led to a knee injury.

Police said they arrived at the end of this confrontation and arrested Hoorizadeh. The victim, meanwhile, was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.

“It’s not serious,” a police spokesman said.

Police said an investigation determined that the defendant had burglarized the home earlier in the week on Monday, Jan. 28, but that the two had no prior connection.

“They do not know each other,” a police spokesman said.

The value and number of the goods is “undisclosed” in both cases, police said.

Hoorizadeh is charged with burglary in the second degree and third degree, attempted burglary in the third degree, two counts of third-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

He is being arraigned on Friday, Feb. 1 at First District Court in Hempstead.
