Two of the victims involved in a single-car accident in New Hyde Park last week have been identified by Nassau County Police.

Pallavi Saini, 39, and Parshotam Kaur, 71, of Glen Oaks were pronounced dead on the scene by a Northshore/LIJ ambulance medic on the scene.

Near the intersection of Marcus Avenue and Union Turnpike, police said they responded to an accident at just before 7 a.m. on Nov. 28. Authorities said they saw a 2009 Toyota Corolla overturned against a pole.

Three people were in the vehicle at the time of the accident, including Saini and Kaur. The driver, a 41-year-old male was transported to a hospital and remained in critical condition following the crash.

At the time of the wreck, Marcus Avenue was closed in both directions between New Hyde Park Road and Tryon Court.

According to a GoFundMe posted online, the two were mother and daughter. It also says the brother was a family member as well who is “fighting for his life.”

The statement reads, “Pallavi and her mother passed away in a horrific car accident in the early hours of 11/28/2021 and her brother is fighting for his life in the hospital at present. Pallavi’s elderly father has a language barrier and is in need of medical help himself. We are seeking your help to support Pallavi’s funeral services, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to us.”

An investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.
