Nassau County Police are searching for a 15-year-old girl who went missing on Monday, March 26, in Great Neck.

Detectives said that Jennifer Medrano was last seen leaving her Great Neck residence at 8:55 p.m. on Monday. She was traveling on foot in an unknown direction, wearing blue jeans and a pink jacket.

“We don’t want them to be in danger. They’re minors,” a police spokeswoman said when asked if she is in danger. “There are many dangers – that’s what we’re trying to avoid, any bad things happening.”

Police described Medrano as a five feet, six inches tall, white Hispanic approximately 160 pounds. It’s unclear where she might have been headed, police said.

Detectives request that anyone with information about Medrano and her whereabouts contact the Missing Persons Squad at (516) 573-7347 or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.

“She’s been missing since the 26th and we’re doing everything we can to find her,” the police spokeswoman said.

Police said they could not confirm or deny if Madrano had gone missing before.
