A Greenlawn woman surrendered to Nassau County detectives Tuesday in connection with writing out nearly $200,000 in business payments to herself.

According to police, Jennifer Toscano, 43, wrote out business checks payable to herself without the authority to do so while working at SNL Construction in North Hills.

Toscano wrote five checks totaling approximately $200,000 from July to November 2018, police said. She also altered business records to prevent the company’s loss from being discovered.

Efforts to reach SNL Construction for comment were unavailing.

Toscano, accompanied by her lawyer, turned herself into police Tuesday morning in Bethpage, police said. She was arraigned the same day and was charged with grand larceny, possession of a forged instrument and falsifying business records, they said.
