Congratulations to senior Carlos Pena for being named H. Frank Carey High School’s September Character.
All who come into contact with Carlos agree that he is a caring, warmhearted and giving individual. Most recently, Carlos supported the Think Pink club during Breast Cancer Awareness Month by purchasing various baked goods at their fundraiser. He then handed the items out to faculty members and other students just as a way of raising awareness and to simply spread joy.
Math teacher Ms. Bisal discussed she felt so happy after coming into contact with Carlos as he handed out goodies that she was motivated to purchase more and do the same. This selfless act of kindness defines who Carlos is and what he stands for.
