The Herricks Public Schools are proud to congratulate several students who have been named to Newsday’s Top 100 sports lists, which spotlight the highest achieving athletes on Long Island.
Eighth-grader Om Thakur was recognized among the Top 100 Fencers, sophomore Stefani Murciano was honored as a Top 100 Softball Player and senior Dylan Haase and junior Aaron Cho were both listed as Top 100 Boys Lacrosse Players.
Om earned second-team All-County honors this year, after finishing fourth in the Nassau County Championships for Epee last year. Stefanie earned All-County honors as an eighth-grader. Dylan’s past achievements include top 10 in Nassau County in scoring with 47 goals and 26 assists for 73 points on a playoff team, All-County Honorable Mention in 2019, Nassau County Top 25 Rising Freshmen Showcase Team, Rising Sophomore Showcase Team and Rising Senior Showcase Team.
Aaron has earned accomplishments such as top 10 in Nassau County in scoring with 40 goals and 34 assists for 74 points on a playoff team, All-Conference in 2019, Nassau County Top 25 Rising Freshmen Showcase Team and Rising Sophomore Showcase Team.
