Herricks High School has ranked highly on U.S. News and World Report’s 2021 list of Best High Schools. The high school has moved up to No. 5 on Long Island, No. 33 in New York State and No. 276 in the nation compared to No. 6, No. 43 and No. 412 in 2019 when the list was last published. Herricks is among the top 2% of 24,000 high schools rated nationwide.
The list, based on data from 2018-19, was compiled based on state assessment performance, graduation rates and how well students are prepared for college. Herricks High School has earned placement and recognition from U.S. World Report for many years.
