Herricks High School’s All-State students made the Music Department proud during their participation in the All-State Music Festival. They traveled to Rochester at the beginning of December for three days of rehearsals and performances that celebrated music education. The annual festival, sponsored by the New York State School Music Association, is considered the highest honor a school musician can attain.

The students who achieved this honor include bass clarinetist Stanley Chen, cellists Michelle Chiu, Justin Yang, Kyle Pinzon and Gloria Kang, violinists Izzah Nazir, Chiara Tan and Kaitlyn Yoo, lead jazz trumpeter Jeremy Lau, double bassist Daniel Navy, clarinetist Rhea Rasquina,  altoist Allison Yu and soprano two singer Sarah Winkler.
