In honor of School Board Recognition Week, the Herricks Public Schools Board of Education was presented with special honors at its Oct. 21 meeting. Students from Denton Avenue School performed for the board and showcased a piece of handmade artwork that they created from a recycled cello, and Legislator Ellen Birnbaum presented the board with a Certificate of Recognition.
