On Friday, March 12, Herricks students in the STAC program participated and starred in the 2nd Annual North Shore Shakespeare Festival. Eight schools from the region shared short selections from Shakespeare’s plays.

The guest judges from LIU Post responded very positively the student acting, staging, and design of our submission. The Herricks student actors and designers distinguished themselves among a field of amazing theater programs with strong productions of their own. Their video submission was a selection from Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream.”

Rob Gioia, Director of the STAC Program states, “The students of STAC proved yet again that their creativity, drive and technical skill can deliver a satisfying performance of even the thorniest Shakespearean text. I am deeply proud of the work they’ve accomplished on this project. I can’t wait to participate in the festival again next year– hopefully next time in person!”
