Healthy Eating is Easier Than You Think Tuesday, July 27 at 10 a.m. Eating is not just about satisfying hunger. Everything we eat affects our physical and mental well-being. Food has the power to prevent disease, increase energy, lose weight, slow aging and boost our brains. But did you know that healthy eating is a lot easier than most people think? To Sleep, Perchance to Dream Tuesday, July 27 at 12 noon. Sleep Better and Wake Refreshed. Many American adults have difficulty both falling asleep and staying asleep, and it impacts many aspects of their daily lives. Book Discussion: Classic Adventure Tales Wednesday, July 28 at 7 p.m. Join us for a fascinating discussion of classic adventure tales, including the writings of Jules Verne, Robert Louis Stevenson, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, and H.G. Wells.

Jazz Age on Long Island Thursday, July 29 at 7 p.m. Jazz Age on Long Island: The Hundred Year Dance. Discover the exciting arrival during the 1920s of new technologies in everyday life, both in utility and entertainment. Pop culture, style and social changes were also a radical break from the past, and places such as Jones Beach were created. The presentation will be a colorful mix of imagery and music of Long Island and New York during those times, and of the changes a century has brought. Featuring Gold Coast Mansions! Presented by Barry Rivadue

Painted Sunflower Flower Pot Friday, July 30 at 7 p.m. Paint a Beautiful Sunflower Flower Pot for indoors or outdoors to liven up your space. Supplies: A clean (washed and dried) terracotta/ clay pot. Acrylic Paints: red, blue, yellow, white and black.3 different sized brushes: A very fine one for details (pointed round 5), a medium (flat or angle) and a larger (flash wash 3/4) one for the background. Tools: A cup with water, paper towel, mixing plastic pallet (can be a paper plate)

Cooking with Chef Rob Friday, July 23 at 4:30 p.m. All Ages- Family Fun! Learn how to cook the ultimate grilled chicken tenders with three dipping sauces & a gooey s’more!

Book Club (Grades 5 – 8) Monday, July 26 at 5 p.m. Read the book “Jeremy Fink & The Meaning of Life” by Wendy Mass, and join us for an outdoor discussion. Snacks served. Books can be picked up after you register for the program. Register early so that you have plenty of time to read the book! (Program will be held under a tent in our parking lot).

Furry Tails and Tales Stuffed Animal Workshop Tuesday, July 27 at 5:30 p.m. Ages: 4 years- 7 years. Celebrate our summer reading theme as we read a story & create your own stuffed animal to love at home!
