John Lewis Childs School fifth-graders learned about animals and the environment in the annual “Grow with Me” program, sponsored by the Hance Family Foundation.

As part of the program, the students were treated to a virtual Nature Nick’s Animal Adventures show via Zoom. He showed the students a variety of animals, including a snake, falcon, rabbit, toucan and tortoise. They also decorated grocery bags to be given to the local Associated Food Store as part of a recycling exercise.

Additionally, the foundation provided each class with seeds for the students to plant and donated a lilac bush to the school.
