Join a public meeting about the future of Great Neck parks

The Island Now

If you could design the park of your choice, what would it look like? What programs should be offered and where should our priorities be best invested?

All Great Neck residents are invited to attend a public meeting on Thursday, Jan. 10, 7:30 p.m., at Great Neck House, 14 Arrandale Ave. in Great Neck, as a part of the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Planning process designed to build a flourishing future for the Great Neck Park District.

In addition to the public meeting, a consulting team will be mailing a statistically valid survey to households throughout the district, conduct interviews and focus groups with the public, assess program and facility needs and review future demographic data, trends and usage statistics.

This planning process is centered on community values and the unmet needs of the growing and diverse community of Great Neck. For more information or to participate, visit gnparks.org or call (516) 487-7665.
