Enrollment for the Great Neck Public Schools Kindergarten program for the 2018–2019 school year will begin on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, and run schooldays through Friday, Jan. 26, 2018. Registration will be at the Office of Registration, Phipps Admin. Bldg., 345 Lakeville Rd., from 8:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.
All children who will attend public or private school kindergarten in September 2018 need to be registered. In order to be eligible to enroll, children must have been born between Dec. 2, 2012, and Dec. 1, 2013. Please note that students currently enrolled in the district’s Universal Prekindergarten program do not have to be registered for kindergarten.
Residents who have not yet received a kindergarten registration packet in the mail may pick one up on schooldays at the Office of Registration, or download forms from the district website at greatneck.k12.ny.us.
Please bring the following information to registration:
- Proof of district residency, such as a deed, current tax bill, or closing statement, current signed lease or current rent receipts.
- Three pieces of current, official mail. Online mail is not acceptable.
- Child’s original birth certificate.
- Parent or guardian valid photo ID.
- Parental control papers (if applicable).
- Immunization certificate signed and stamped by a physician or other authorized health agency.
