The Long Island Autism Communities Inc., a not for profit organization dedicated to developing supportive, integrated communities for adults with autism, is participating in the Americana Manhasset “Champions for Charity” shopping benefit.

This annual holiday program will be held this year from Thursday, Nov. 30 to Sunday, Dec. 3. During these four days, registered shoppers can designate Long Island Autism Communities as their charity of choice to receive 25 percent off their full-priced, pre-tax purchases made at the over 70 participating Americana Manhasset stores and restaurants, as well as select Wheatley Plaza stores in Greenvale.

Americana Manhasset GiftCards can also be purchased during the Champions for Charity benefit and are eligible for a 10 percent donation to the designated charity.

To participate, shoppers can register online www.championsforcharity.org, by phone at  (800)818-6767, or in person at the Americana Concierge. Upon registering, shoppers receive a Champion Number which must be presented at the time of each purchase.

To kick off the program, London Jewelers at Americana Manhasset will be hosting a VIP reception for Long Island Autism Communities in its Gift Gallery on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. All shoppers are invited to the reception for the opportunity to meet the organization’s founder, Charles Massimo, and member of the board of directors.
