The Long Island Craft Classic will return to Heckscher State Park on Saturday, Aug. 12.

The event will showcase more than 100 beers from over 50 breweries, including local and national favorites.

New this year, a larger selection of ciders and wines will be present, opening the festival’s appeal to all local craft beverage enthusiasts.

There will be live music performances from LDF (formerly Ladies Drink Free), another great addition to the festival.

The event will also feature barbeque food prepared by Chef Eric Rifkin, owner of Bobbique in Patchogue.

“The Long Island Craft Classic is a home run for local breweries,” said Scott Pflug, director of sales and marketing with Starfish Junction Productions. “This festival is a great opportunity for brewers and consumers to be face-to-face and connect over one shared passion, craft beer. It’s great for the attendees to meet the people behind their favorite beers and it’s great for the brewers to meet existing customers and convert new ones.”

“93% of the 2016 surveyed festival attendees said they would return for the 2017 event,” Pflug added so he and his crew are expecting record numbers.

The event offers two ticket options: VIP (1 to 5:30 p.m.; $75 per person) and General Admission (2 to 5:30 p.m.; $55 per person).

All ticket holders will receive a barbeque sandwich prepared by Bobbique, and unlimited beer, wine, and cider tastings.

Designated driver tickets at $12 per person includes food, but no alcoholic beverages.

VIP ticket highlights also include an additional preview hour from 1 to 2 p.m. to meet the brewers and taste sought-after, limited-release beers reserved just for this hour, along with a collectible tasting glass.

This is a 21+ event, valid photo identification is required for admission.

This event will help raise money and awareness for two incredible local charities including Kids Need More (KidsNeedMore.org) and Natural Heritage Trust (nysparks.com).
