NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF THE INCOROPRATED VILLAGE
OF NEW HYDE PARK LOCAL LAW NO. 8 OF 2021 ENTITLED
ìA LOCAL LAW ADOPTED PURSUANT TO CANNABIS LAW
ß131 OPTING OUT OF LICENSING AND ESTABLISHING
RETAIL CANNABIS DISPENSARIES AND/OR ON-SITE
CANNABIS CONSUMPTION ESTABLISHMENTS WITHIN
THE INCORPORATED VILLAGE OF NEW HYDE PARK.î
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to Article 9 of the New
York State Constitution, the provisions of the Code of the
Incorporated Village of New Hyde Park (ìVillageî) and the
Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York, as
amended, a public hearing was duly called and held on July
15, 2021 by the Village Board of the Incorporated Village of
New Hyde Park on the proposed adoption of the
Incorporated Village of New Hyde Park Local Law No. 8 of
2021 and following the close of the hearing, the Village Board
duly adopted the Incorporated Village of New Hyde Park
Local Law No. 8 of 2021 entitled: ìA Local Law adopted
pursuant to Cannabis Law ß131 opting out of licensing and
establishing retail cannabis dispensaries and/or on-site
cannabis consumption establishments within the
Incorporated Village of New Hyde Park.î
This Local Law is subject to a permissive referendum if a
petition for same is filed within thirty (30) days of this Notice.
After said thirty (30) day period, this Local Law shall become
effective upon its filing with the Secretary of State.
