BOARD OF TRUSTEES
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a regular meeting held on
the 26th day of July, 2021, the Board of Trustees of the
Village of Williston Park, New York (the “Village”) duly
adopted Local Law No. 3 of 2021, entitled “A Local Law
adopted pursuant to Cannabis Law §131 opting out
of licensing and establishing retail cannabis dispensaries and
on-site cannabis consumption establishments within
the Village of Williston Park,” an abstract of which follows.
This local law is subject to a permissive
referendum pursuant to Article 9 of the Village Law of the
State of New York.
This local law is adopted pursuant to Cannabis Law §131,
which expressly authorizes
cities and villages to opt out allowing retail
cannabis dispensaries and/or on-site cannabis consumption
establishments to locate and operate within their boundaries.
By this local law, the Village opts out of licensing and
establishing cannabis retail dispensaries and cannabis on-site
consumption establishments within the boundaries of the
Village of Williston Park.
