NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the Board of Trustees at a meeting held on July 8, 2019 did duly adopt the following Local Laws:
LOCAL LAW. 3 of 2019
A LOCAL LAW to amend Lake Success Code Chapter 9 entitled ‘Planning Board’
Section One. Lake Success Code ß9-1 entitled ‘Membership and powers’ is hereby amended by the addition of a new subsection ‘C’ to read as follows:
C. The Planning Board, by majority vote of its members, shall be authorized to appoint a Secretary to the Planning Board, subject to a salary and benefit approval by the Board of Trustees.

Amendment to ß9-4 entitled “Meetings; records” in Chapter 9 entitled ‘Planning Board.’
Section Two. Lake Success Code ß9-4 entitled ‘Meetings; records’ is hereby amended to read as follows:
All meetings of the Planning Board shall be public. The presence of a majority of the members shall be necessary for a quorum. The Secretary of the Board shall keep minutes of the proceedings showing the vote of each member upon every question or, if absent or failing to vote, indicating that fact. The Secretary also shall keep a record of the examination and other official actions of the Board. Every rule, regulation, amendment or repeal thereof and every order, requirement, decision or determination of the Board shall immediately be filed in the Village Clerk’s Office and shall be a public record.
Section Three. If a court determines that any clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, or part of this local law or the application thereof to any person, firm or corporation, or circumstance is invalid or unconstitutional, the courts order or judgment shall not affect, impair, or invalidate the remainder of this local law, but shall be confined in its operation to the clause, sentence, paragraph, subdivision, or part of this local law or in its application to the person, individual, firm or corporation or circumstance, directly involved in the controversy in which such judgment or order shall be rendered.
Section Four. This local law shall take effect immediately upon filing with the Secretary of State.
A copy of these proposed Local Laws are available for inspection at the Village Office weekdays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
This Local Law shall become effective upon filing with the Secretary of State.
