LEGAL NOTICE OF VARIANCE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, pursuant to law, that a public hearing will be held by the Board of Zoning Appeals of the Village of Port Washington North, located at 3 Pleasant Avenue, Port Washington, New York 11050, on January 24, 2019 at 7:30 p.m., for the purpose of considering the following application:
The application of Kevin Yaraghi, as applicant and Two Channel Drive LLC as owner of the premises located at 2 Channel Drive, Port Washington, New York. The Zone is Maritime District. The location of the premises on the Nassau County Tax Map is Section 4 Block 123 Lot(s) 8, 44A and 51. Applicant and owner seek a parking variance because the proposed rear patio to display outdoor furniture eliminates 8 parking spaces and increases the nonconformity by 8 parking spaces. Pursuant to Section 176-90.9, 423 parking spaces are required applicant and owner are seeking a parking variance to eliminate 8 parking spaces. The Port Washington Village Board in a decision dated August 15, 2018 granted applicant and owner a conditional use to permit the display of outdoor patio furniture on said patio subject to certain conditions including a parking variance to increase the nonconformity by 8 parking spaces.
At said public hearing all parties in interest will be given an opportunity to be heard Copies of the proposed plans are on file with the Village Hall and may be seen during normal business hours. Anyone needing special accommodation pursuant to the American with Disabilities Act should contact the Clerk to the Board of Zoning Appeals at least four (4) business days before the meeting.
