LEGAL NOTICE
PUBLIC HEARING
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Commissioners of the Great Neck Park District will conduct a Public Hearing on Thursday, September 3, 2020, at 8:00 PM remotely, via videoconference only, with no “in person” location, pursuant to NYS Governor Cuomo’s Executive Orders 202.1 and 202.15 relating to the Covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of the hearing, pursuant to,—Town Law Section 215.9-a, is to consider the proposed annual budget for the District’s fiscal year starting January 1, 2021.
All interested parties may attend the public hearing, but only remotely, via Zoom videoconference, on September 3, 2020 at 7:30 PM. The Zoom Meeting ID and Password will be made available on the District’s website (www.gnparks.org) at least 24 hours prior to the start of the public hearing. First-time users of the Zoom Meeting app will need to download the app prior to the meeting. All persons remotely accessing the Public Hearing will have an opportunity to be heard.
Written comments and/or questions may also be submitted via email to Superintendent Jason Marra at the following email address: jmarra@gnparks.org. Any comments and/or questions submitted via email no later than 60 minutes prior to the start of the public hearing will be considered at the public hearing.
As required under relevant Executive Orders, the hearing will be recorded and later transcribed.
Copies of the Park District draft Budget will be available after [August 30th], 2020 at the Park District Office, 5 Beach Road, Great Neck, NY, 11023, and on the District’s website (www.gnparks.org)
