Local students receive honors

Mary Cahill of East Williston has been named to the Fall 2017 Dean’s List at Roger Williams University. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean’s List. 

Nicole Rinaldi of Manhasset, Karin Yehoudian of Great Neck, Lauren Brill of Great Neck, Jared Leong of New Hyde Park, Kevin McCaffrey of New Hyde Park, Sabrina Harris of Roslyn, and Jacob Mariani of Roslyn have been named to the Emerson College Dean’s List for the Fall 2017 semester. The requirement to make Emerson’s Dean’s List is a grade point average of 3.7 or higher.

Dianie Kikin Chen of Roslyn has been named to the academic honors list for work completed during the Fall 2017 semester at Northfield Mount Hermon School.

Danielle Stalnaker, Clare Kindler, Kara Haberman, Jessica Altuch, and Carolyn Bollerman of Port Washington qualified for the Dean’s List at the University of Rhode Island for the Fall 2017 semester. To be included on the Dean’s List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average.

Sophie Germain of Port Washington and Kaila Carson of Albertson have been named to the Dean’s List for the Fall 2017 semester at the University of Vermont. To be named to the Dean’s List, students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or better and rank in the top 20 percent of their class in their respective college or school.

Shawna Weiss of Albertson has been named to the Dean’s List at Widener University. Students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher during the semester to qualify for this status.

Joshua Messite of Great Neck, Riley Schwart of Huntington, and John Geron of Manhasset were recently named to the Dean’s List at the College of William & Mary for the Fall 2017 semester. In order to achieve Dean’s List status, a full-time degree seeking undergraduate student must take at least 12 credit hours and earn a 3.6 quality point average during the semester. 

Jesse Grant Kaplan of Port Washington graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Management .

James Lopez of Albertson has been named to the Fall 2017 dean’s list at Buffalo State CollegeTo qualify, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and complete a minimum of 12 credit hours.

Megan Kelly of Mineola has been named to the Dean’s List at Curry College for the Fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, students must earn a 3.30 grade point average, have no incompletes, and have no grade lower than a “C” for the semester.

Olivia Boniello of Williston Park, Benjamin Carbone of Mineola, Michael Carney of East Williston, Jeanette Giacinto of Mineola, Margaret Giacinto of Mineola, Andrea Grebinger of Williston Park, Edward Iovino of Williston Park, Katie Keyes of Albertson, Dana Lewis of Carle Place, Samantha Raffo of Williston Park, and Austin Topel of Carle Place  earned Dean’s List honors at SUNY Oneonta for the Fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Danielle Grieco of Mineola and Benjamin Rosenstein of Roslyn were among 185 SUNY Oneonta students who earned Provost’s List honors for the fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the Provost’s List, a student must earn a perfect 4.0 grade point average while carrying a course load of 12 hours or more.

Gaetano Famiglietti of Glen Cove, Victoria Evans of Halite, Samantha Roth of Hicksville, Samantha Castiglione,  Leann Forte,  Claudia Szczepan,  and Jonathan Thangavelu of Lindenhurst, Julia Annunziato of  Mill Neck, Leonard Morra of Mineola, Ryan Lessman,  Erik Stalzer,  and Eric Wasserman of Plainview were named to the Dean’s List at the University of New Haven for the Fall 2017 semester.

Benjamin Zander of Great Neck earned placement on the Dean’s List at The College of New Jersey for the Fall 2017 semester. To achieve this, a student must carry 12 or more credits that semester and earn a 3.5 grade point average.
