16 foot mural

The large and colorful 16’ foot-long mural was installed on Sept. 10 at the Wheatley School in Old Westbury.

Alyson Brooke Zeller, the 17-year-old artist, a senior at the school, designed the mural for her School within a School Program to beautify the outdoor garden. Alyson is honored to be able to share her artwork with the entire student body, faculty, and future generations that attend the school.

Alyson has always had a passion for art and an obsession with doodling. Despite the challenges of ADHD and related learning disabilities, the young entrepreneur has developed her unique art style into a custom design business called Ally-Brooke Designs.

A myriad of gift products can be adorned with her bright and colorful bespoke designs. Her hand-drawn, one-of-a-kind style features iconic pop-art symbols that evoke a sense of fun and whimsy.

Alyson hopes her art can be an inspiration to other young aspiring artists and that she can serve as an encouragement to others with ADHD and learning disabilities while making the world a more colorful art-filled place.
