A Roosevelt man was arrested after allegedly driving drunk in Greenvale on Sunday at 2 a.m. with his 10-year-old son in the car, police said.

Rocael Culajay, 42, was not staying in a single lane while driving a 2002 Toyota 4Runner Southbound on Glen Cove Road with his son in the backseat, police said.

A 3rd Pct. officer smelled “a strong odor of alcohol” on Culajay’s breath, and “observed that he had glassy eyes and slurred speech,” when he pulled the car over, police said.

Culajay was arrested and his son was released to a relative, police said.

Culajay is charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated, endangering the welfare of a child, false personation and multiple vehicle and traffic law violations.

During his Sunday arraignment, Judge Colin O’Donnell adjourned the case. Culajay is held on bail of $10,000 bond or $5,000 cash. He is due back in court on Wednesday.
